SARASOTA, FLORIDA (Oct. 6, 2025) – The Sarasota Downtown Improvement District (DID), in partnership with the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce Downtown Sarasota Black Friday on Friday, November 28, 2025. This one-day event will transform downtown into a hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment, making it the destination for holiday deals and community connection.
To encourage shoppers to spend the day downtown, free parking will be offered throughout the district. Visitors can enjoy a variety of special merchant promotions, including extended hours, percentage-off discounts, and unique one-day offers across shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
In addition to unbeatable deals, the DID is creating a festive experience to celebrate the kickoff of the holiday season. Shoppers can pick up a downtown shopping guide and a branded shopping bag at the designated welcome station, making it easier to explore all that downtown has to offer. A live DJ will provide music throughout the day, and participants will also have the chance to win exciting prizes through a downtown raffle giveaway.
“This event is about more than just shopping,” said the Downtown Sarasota Improvement District Board. “It’s about bringing people together, supporting our local businesses, and showcasing the unique character of downtown Sarasota.”
Downtown Sarasota Black Friday is expected to draw large crowds of residents and visitors alike, creating a major boost for local merchants and highlighting the district as a vibrant center for commerce and community.
