Local organization for black and biracial students receive free Black Violin tickets

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A local support organization for black and biracial students in Eau Claire has received 250 free tickets to see Black Violin in concert.

Black Violin is a classically-trained violinist duo. They blend classical, jazz and hip-hop sound into a unique musical performance.

Students from “Power of Perception,” an organization dedicated to inspiring and educating black and biracial students in Eau Claire, will be seeing Black Violin live.

“My biggest thing is that when you have different performers that look like themselves, that are coming to our city. We gotta show up and show out, ya know, and just show support. I think that really speaks value. But it shows our kids that they can really do anything they put their mind to. Because it’s one thing for them to actually see it or see it on the media. But it’s one thing for them to actually see it in person,” said Dennis Beale, the CEO and founder of Power of Perception.

Black Violin is performing Wednesday night at the Pablo Center in Eau Claire.
