We’ll examine the impact of tariffs, rising costs, supply chain disruptions, and other economic changes on small businesses. Host Stephen Henderson talks with marketing consultant Mark S. Lee, president & CEO of The LEE Group and a Detroit PBS board member, about the current economic climate’s effect on entrepreneurs. He discusses the impact of higher tariffs and the fact that small businesses can’t absorb the increased costs like big businesses are able to do. Lee also provides some financial options for small business owners and offers advice on whether it’s a good time to go into business. Additionally, he speaks to the unique situations of African American small business owners.
