The joint celebration will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1. at Envy Me Too Salon, located at 1914 Main St. The event will feature Caribbean food, music, refreshments and a raffle. Guests are invited to join in honoring the salon’s achievements and vision for the next chapter of community-centered beauty.
Envy Me Too Salon hosts independent stylists and barbers who operate their own businesses within a shared, texture-inclusive space. The salon regularly serves clients of all hair and backgrounds, emphasizing multicultural and inclusive care.
Drop’n Pearls Hair Artistry rents a chair at Envy Me Too, specializing in transformational cuts and textured hair care.
“Beauty is universal,” Thurman said. “We’ve built a space where everyone — from tight curls to fine hair, all shades and identities — can feel seen and cared for. That’s what this anniversary represents.”
“Our goal has always been to create a professional, family-oriented environment where independent stylists can grow while serving clients from all walks of life,” Gentle said. “Being a Black-owned salon that welcomes everyone is something we’re proud of — it’s what makes this place special.”
