Ndimande brothers in AKA murder case to be extradited to South Africa: Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi

Finally, two suspects will be extradited to South Africa, nearly two years after the murder of rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande were arrested in Eswatini early last year after months on the run. Their extradition comes after they dropped an appeal against the Eswatini court’s decision to send them back to face trial.

The brothers are accused of masterminding the fatal shooting outside a Durban restaurant in February 2023, an attack that drew national outrage and sparked one of the country’s biggest investigations in recent years. They are expected to be handed over to SAPS on Tuesday to join five others already in custody.

To help us understand what happens next and what this means for the justice process, we’re joined by the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi.
