BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WKBT) — The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in Jackson County during Saturday’s winter storms.
According to WSP’s release, the driver, 67-year-old Robin Johnson of St. Francis, lost control on the icy road and the vehicle rolled into a ditch, coming to rest against a tree. Both Robin and passenger James Johnson, 69, were trapped inside the vehicle and injured.
Paramedics performed lifesaving measures on James Johnson, who was taken to a local hospital, where he was later declared deceased.
Robin Johnson suffered non-life-threatening injuries. James was not wearing a seatbelt before the crash, per the release.
The accident remains under investigation.
