Don't be fooled many of those returning home have been overseas for years made and saved enough money to come back home and leave luxury and have citizenships of those countries the have been in fo years so they still have advantage

Sorry to debunk the myth. Those returning Saffers who have lived abroad many years have lost touch with how badly things have deteriorated in SA. They are driven to return by misplaced sentimentality. Those few who are able to return and continue earning in hard currency, good luck to you. You may live like a king in an ever diminishing bubble for a while longer. Eventially it will catch up to you or you remain lucky or sensible enough to keep your wealth abroad just in case we have another disastrous 2021 type riot experience costing approx. US $3.4 billion, in which case you can afford to leave quickly again with just your suitcase. SA has never fully recovered from this monumental disaster. For the 90% of the people, they continue to live trapped in a growing sea of poverty. Even in the middle class, young professional graduates cannot find jobs. First in line are young graduated doctors where in a class of 30, only 1 has managed to secure a position (as Registrar). The rest are told to look abroad. Thanks to poor policy, the economy simply hasn't grown in real terms for a very long time and service delivery has now all but collapsed in most places and infrastructure continues to crumble. Johannesburg today is a shadow of its former glory. It's a real shame. There is endemic stealing of public finances, uniquely 145 punitive racially discriminarory (arguably racist) laws that mostlly favour the ruling elite but rob deserving candidates of all races out of positions, particularly in state related jobs. So much for the false claim about getting rid of discrimination given the legacy of Apartheid. The notion of Ubuntu and Rainbow Nation today ring hollow. Small wonder that SA's rankings on most performance indices has plummeted. Those at the political helm are now facing the potential of targeted sanctions from US congress with 3 draft bills currently doing their rounds, and garnering support from both sides of the aisle. The likely loss of preferential US related AGOA trade terms is going to cause the further loss of thousands of jobs. So with respect to those with delusional assessments and false equivalence crime comparisons, there are lots of places around the world basking in sunshine, in low crime and living the life. Leaving the weather aside, you will today find Saffers have settled in large numbers in many commercial centres around the world. They have already paid the hard price of emigration. Ask yourself what brought this about? Who in their right mind wants to permanently return to a failed or failing state? Those that want to dispute this dreadful state of affairs with definitional arguments have their heads buried firmly in the sand. Those "professional" slanted sunshine assessments by some captains of industry, banks etc have big vested interests to perpetuate this myth. Their biggest fear is that the constant exodus of people who may have the ability to leave, will turn into a stampede as conditiond continue deteriorate.
