Las Vegas (KSNV) — While the community was out shopping, officers with the Henderson Police Department (HPD) tracked down thieves throughout the city.
According to the department, detectives were stationed at several major retail stores to look for shoplifters.
This resulted in 19 arrests and 11 citations, with more than $5,200 in stolen merchandise recovered.
The team’s efforts were coordinated with HPD Patrol, Traffic, Dispatch, and Investigations, as well as retail partners and their Loss Prevention Officers.
Henderson Police say they are dedicated to enhancing community safety and supporting local businesses through proactive enforcement and ongoing operations targeting retail theft.

These operations have led to the recovery of more than $7,000 in stolen merchandise so far this year.
