SHREVEPORT, La. – February is Black History Month and KTBS 3/KPXJ CW 21 continue to salute the contributions of African Americans in labor with the help of Bossier Parish high school students.
Katherine Johnson was one of the first African-American women to work as a NASA mathematician. Her calculations assured the success of early space missions.
Thanks to Kayla Washington, graduate of Airline High School, for shining a light on the contributions of Katherine Johnson.
