CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) – The Kelly Miller Community Building opened its doors to a new exhibit this afternoon.
The new exhibit honors Black History, showcasing numerous different aspects of African American culture.
The pieces and artifacts that are displayed come from people all around the community who want to help showcase the culture.
The exhibit also highlighted famous Black West Virginians, as well as Black inventors.
“I like to show the history, not just black history. I like to investigate one individual and find out things. It’s very informing for me,” said Catherine Burley, coordinator for the Clarksburg Black History Museum.
