Ghanaian authorities have released new information regarding citizens returning from South Africa. According to Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a collaborative screening exercise conducted between Ghanaās Foreign Ministry and South African security authorities found that none of the Ghanaian nationals evacuated were wanted by South African security agencies.
Officials stated that the verification process was carried out to ensure a transparent and orderly return of eligible Ghanaian citizens. The announcement has generated widespread discussion across Africa as debates continue around immigration, security, foreign nationals, and regional cooperation.
