* A tense 16-hour hostage drama in Mamelodi, East of Pretoria, ended in a double tragedy early this morning. This after a 32-year-old police constable held his family members, including his mother and his 18-year-old nephew, hostage since early yesterday morning over a family dispute.

* Surveillance footage released by the international aid initiative Global Sumud Flotilla showed the moment of a reported drone strike and subsequent fire on the vessel late last night.

* Convicted rapist Thabo Bester and his co-accused, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, will launch an urgent application in the High Court on Thursday to halt a Netflix documentary. This is just a day before the launch of the three-part documentary series, ‘Beauty and the Bester’.
