This year’s theme, “African Americans and Politics,” highlights the contributions of Black leaders at the local, state and national levels. Contestants will spotlight selected figures through the educational portion of the program.

The pageant doubles as a fundraiser and one of the Neweta Club’s signature youth enrichment efforts. Organizers say the program is designed to help young people build self-respect, develop communication skills, foster friendships and deepen their understanding of African American history and civic responsibility.

Founded in 1974 as the Coweta Business Women’s Association, the group became the Neweta Club in 1987 when it joined the national association. Today, the nonprofit continues to support African American business and professional women while mentoring youth through programs like the pageant.

The golden anniversary also aligns with America250, the nationwide commemoration of the country’s 250th birthday in 2026.

Organizers are inviting families and community members to attend.
