FREEPORT (WGME) — The biggest shopping day of the year is Friday, and L.L. Bean in Freeport is gearing up for it.
Some people are getting a head start on their holiday shopping Thursday.
At the flagship site, one of the stores on campus is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The home store is currently undergoing renovations, so it’s been relocated to “Camp L.L. Bean” which is a tent on campus filled with the merchandise.
One shopper we spoke with says it feels like the right place to be.
“We both grew up in Maine, and we love Freeport, and we love L.L. Bean. It just seems like home,” a shopper Maureen said.
