The Macomb County Ministerial Alliance is hosting the 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast Jan. 19.

The community event is to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s theme is “Chaos or Community — Where Do We Go from Here?”

The theme will highlight King’s call to choose unity, justice and community building during times of challenge. Last year’s event brought more than 500 attendees.

The event programming will feature guest speaker Bishop Corletta Vaughn and musical guest Lisa Page Brooks. There will also be scholarship recognitions, community networking and more.

The networking portion of the event starts at 8 a.m. and the breakfast and program portion of the event starts at 9 a.m. The event takes place at Penna’s of Sterling, which is located at 38400 Van Dyke Ave. in Sterling Heights.
