Black Belt Community Foundation (BBCF) will hold a series of listening sessions throughout the Black Belt region over the next few weeks.
An announcement from BBCF stated that the sessions will give a platform for the public, including community leaders, grassroots organizations, and local stakeholders to share opinions and concerns about their communities.
“Spanning diverse towns and rural areas, the listening sessions will create a welcoming, inclusive space where participants could openly discuss challenges related to education, healthcare access, economic development, infrastructure, cultural preservation and much more,” said the announcement.
“The session will highlight community strengths, celebrate local initiatives, and foster connections among individuals and groups committed to building a stronger, more resilient county.”
The announcement added that feedback will impact BBCF’s strategic priorities, investments, grant-making initiatives, and collaborative partnerships.
