what is glaringly absent from discourse on this issue is the Caribbean collectively, and Grenada particularly, lack of development plans to incentivize their nationals to remain at home. the islands (Grenada included) have not developed strategies to stem pervasive brain drain. this reliance on en mass exodus of your nationals to metropolitan cities and the attendant entitlement to immigration to the US is not a substitute for social and economic development. focus on implementing sound plans to keep your citizens at home and end the collective reliance on migration as de facto substitute for development.
