Guelph Black Heritage Society planning events for Black Heritage Month

Black Heritage Month offers a special opportunity to reflect on the builders of the past, uplift today’s changemakers, and inspire tomorrow’s visionaries

NEWS RELEASE

GUELPH BLACK HERITAGE SOCIETY

***********************

This February, the Guelph Black Heritage Society proudly presents its 6th Annual Black Heritage Month (BHM) program—a vibrant celebration of Black excellence, history, and community resilience. While we honour Black heritage year-round, Black Heritage Month offers a special opportunity to reflect on the builders of the past, uplift today’s changemakers, and inspire tomorrow’s visionaries.

Double Your Impact

During the month of February, your gift to the Guelph Black Heritage Society will go twice as far—thanks to the generosity of a Friend of GBHS, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000. Your support helps us reduce the mortgage on Heritage Hall, a historic landmark that preserves and celebrates Black heritage in Guelph. This isn’t just a donation—it’s an investment in safeguarding a space where future generations can learn, connect, and thrive.

Make your gift today and double your impact!
