MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Mount Sinai Church hosted its black history program Sunday afternoon. The event started at 2pm that featured a prayer, songs from the youth choir, and black history speeches from the young inspirational kids of Meridian. The special church service also featured host pastor Reverend SM Robinson. His main lesson today was that the importance of black history is keen whether it be for the past, the present, and the future.
“I want them to learn about our black history our past present and our future that is very important to always know about our black history.” said Trudy Rhone, President of Youth Department.
“Black history programs are an amazing way to celebrate and honor the achievements and courage of black people throughout history”. said Tamara Gillespie, Vice President of Youth Department.
