SEATTLE — The Seattle Association of Black Journalists is presenting “Black Voices Matter: Aviatrix” at the Northwest African American Museum, a special preview of Angela Poe Russell’s new musical honoring pioneering aviator Bessie Coleman. The veteran journalist and playwright joined ‘ARC Seattle’ to share the story behind the production and why Coleman’s legacy continues to inspire.
“Black Voices Matter” will dive into how journalism, storytelling and the performing arts unite to spark curiosity, history and creativity.
