ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) – The Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s Office for Missing and Murdered Black Women and Girls will be hosting its second annual Day on the Hill on Monday.
The event brings together state leaders, families, and advocates to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis of violence impacting black women and girls in Minnesota.
Organizers said they hope to elevate victims’ voices and push for meaningful legislation. Multiple nonprofits will be offering resources to survivors of abuse.
There will also be a reading of the names of missing and murdered black women and girls in the state.
The event starts at 2 p.m. at the Capitol Rotunda.
