LADSON, S.C. (WCSC) — The Black Food Truck Festival will return to Exchange Park April 24-26 for its fifth annual spring event.
The festival was recently recognized as the #6 Best Cultural Festival in the U.S. by the USA TODAY 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
The entertainment lineup includes DJ Payme, Renaissance Orchestra, Buddy Red and Red Sample.
“Our mission has always been to celebrate the soul of our community through food, culture, and economic empowerment, Marcus Hammond, founder of the Black Food Truck Festival, said. “With our new national ranking, we wanted to ensure our entertainment lineup reflected that same premier standard. These artists are the perfect heartbeat for an event that celebrates the very best of the Lowcountry.”
The festival has welcomed over 40,000 attendees since its inception. The event provides a platform for local entrepreneurs and generates economic impact for small businesses.
The weekend will feature food trucks, local artisan vendors and family-friendly activities.
