Spectrum Bay News 9 reached out to Lozano and the Fishback campaign. On Monday, Lozano initially agreed to an interview, but later texted to say he was too busy and could not participate.
Lozano then emailed Bay News 9 at 6:40 p.m., stating that his brother had created the Twitter account in his name.
“My brother’s decision to create this X account in my name in November 2025 was a boneheaded mistake,” Lozano said. “I’ve deleted the tweets because they were wrongly attributed to me. As a Christian, I’ve always believed that all lives matter.”
The Fishback campaign, at the time this article was posted, has not responded to our request for comment.
Fishback is running for governor as a Republican. He is opposed by Rep. Byron Donalds, Lt. Gov. Jay Collins and former Florida House Speaker Paul Renner.
