Tucked away in the tropical jungle is Prospera, a libertarian proto state run on cryptocurrency with a choose your own adventure legal system. It’s backed by allies close to Donald Trump and the fight for its very existence has helped see Honduran governments rise and fall.
On Foreign Correspondent reporter Lauren Day goes inside the very strange alternate world of Prospera. She meets the biohackers trying to cheat death with experimental medical treatments as well as prospective investors who see Prospera as a place to get rich through avoiding taxes and government regulations.

Yet another billionaire scam designed to crush the poor. As an Aussie consumer I need to know the names of the companies involved in this tax evasion scam so I can never expose myself to these degenerates.
It's people with dreams of making themselves rich aka greedy that always say too much regulations, while those careful with their health say not enough regulations and yes it takes about 10 years for medical breakthroughs to flow through, but they need to keep in mind cancers take about 5-10 years to pop up and if one of these give people cancer there may be no recourse. This has happened before, I can't recall the name, but I think it was an osteoarthritis medication for older women and it ended up giving some jaw cancer, there's many more examples where medical breakthroughs have given some people harmful outcomes and even death. The neoliberals already watered down the regulations and captured the regulatory agency and made big changes like the FDA GRAS system where it is generally recognised as safe, as well as companies saying self regulations and trust us, yet time and time again they have lied and failed us….such as PFAs, glyphosate and paraquat etc all leaching into the environment and our bodies. Worst of all a big percentage of mice trials of medical breakthroughs fail when put into human trials and for good reasons, were not the same! And as per usual these low taxes cohort will use all the public services and utilities, wear and tear , but don't want to pay the taxes to help maintain it or improve it, so everyone else has too, pffff talk about having it all their way and let everyone else pick up the bill

If I were Honduras, I would charge them 100x for energy, refuse them access to hospitals and other public services, and set up a lengthy border control that can take hours to pass through.

I'm an aerospace engineer and avid sci-fi reader from way back.
I've read a lot of Asimov, Arthur C Clarke, David Brin, Peter F Hamilton, Robert Silverberg and of course William Gibson.
And its pretty easy to see how these people read novels by these people and now think they can make certain "places" from those novels come true.
And they aren't the only ones.

And the journalist interviewing him going "wow that's amazing!"
