Some white farmers in South Africa say a new law on land reform is threatening their safety and rights to property.
It replaces legislation dating back to the apartheid era and allows the state to expropriate land for public purposes.

All we are just saying the bill should also benefit the SA indigenous people in terms of living standards and bridging the gap regarding demographics.
When it comes to land expropriation, people justify expropriating because of colonialism the time Europeans seized land from indigenous people illegally. Or when they did get the land legally, it was through treaties which benefited the European settlers and colonial administrations.
So if these farmers own 5 farms, can they just at least give three farms to improve food security and to ensure other indigenous people live in good shelter conditions?
As for those who think that giving farms might collapse the agriculture industry like in Zimbabwe, I should note that to maintain the good conditions the farmers kept it, It should start off by developing techniques like using traditional methods and coordinating efforts to ensure that our hopes of addressing the land issue become successful.

During Apartheid, as horrendous as it was in many ways, Hospitals were OPEN, they were safe, CLEAN, and hospitals had RUNNING WATER and ELECTRICITY AND MEDICINE.
Schools in every area had SUPPLIES for ALL of the children.
Nearly everyone had a job and a place to live WITH running water.
People weren't being murdered in the streets and children were able to play outside.
There were actually PROFESSIONALS where they were needed.
The markets had food and the infrastructure was up to date.
Transportation was safe and reliable.
South Africa was left in this position.
Since then MANY BILLIONS of Aid dollars have been given.
Yet still for every problem from child abuse to the theft and destruction of infrastructure, Apartheid is blamed.
With the blaming of everyone else, the problems will never, ever get better.
No one can go back and undo injustice.
Destroying your own towns and villages is not about "Apartheid"
Poverty and despair are NOT exclusive to South Africa, nor is injustice.
Many South Africans are confused.
They don't understand that success is a benefit of hard work and the sacrifice that it takes to build and maintain any productive venture.
They don't comprehend that success didn't come "from" Apartheid ", but from very hard, very consistent WORK.
Apartheid doesn't milk the cow or put the money in the bank rather than blowing it on a flashy car

Europeans used their technology to built a society in a sparsely populated southern tip of Africa which eventually became so successful that black Africans from the north flooded in for work. Now, people from non indigenous Bantu tribes claim rights to the Afrikaner's land. Imagine an Estonian traveling to Rome demanding that he be given the keys to a local Chinese restaurant because it is in Europe and he is a European.

The land is being stolen so farmer not responsible.
The banks will then sue the Goverment for the money owing on the bank loan.
Black people in South Africa are subsistence farmers.
Giving them more land will not turn them into commercial farmers.
You will end up with commercial farms that are producing food turning into wastelands.
Forget what you think the Goverment owes you and think about where the food comes from.
