I remember our father talking to us about how to take care of EAST AUSTIN AND OUR PROPERTY when I was a young girl at home in EAST AUSTIN.
The smart ones took the money for a better life. I wish them well.
Everytime I think about the wife drawing her pension and giving the lump sum to her husband so he could buy the grill, wow what a testament of love and devotion to her man and to her family.

I love and appreciate the history but vacant buildings serve no one. I wish the ppl who hold interest, could find a developer of their choosing. Take charge of how development happens. Black Wall Street may be a place to start.

The only people fighting to keep a black community are a handful of senior black women. The youngest woman with short blonde fro is probably in her late 40’s early to mid 50’s. She’s wasting her time too. Instead of encouraging these seniors to fight she should encourage them to retire from any social justice, sell that property and live their best lives that they have left.

This is childish. Who cares. Central Park in NYC was built on an ACTUALLY Black neighborhood ! Google the Tulsa Real Estate Fund. Black people put up 10 million dollars in online donations to buy those 70 properties. What? That was a scam? The money gone. Get a business education and use it because all these emotional stories are getting are for women and children. Brothas need to fix this by ourselves!
Raises property taxes on those companies so that they sell those homes. And NO taxes on single home owners.
