The couple is expected to celebrate their nuptials later today, joined by more than 200 guests. Stars spotted in Venice for the festivities this week include Tom Brady, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Orlando Bloom, Usher, Leonardo DiCaprio and Karlie Kloss.
On Thursday night, June 26, Bezos and Sánchez hosted a welcome party for their family and friends in a closed cloister adjacent to the Madonna dell’Orto church.
A source told PEOPLE that the party-goers were treated to pizza cooked onsite by a famous Neapolitan chef, along with fried zucchini flowers, arancini, octopus and cod. Dessert included lemon cakes and pastries.

According to the insider, the atmosphere at the soirée was surprisingly low-key considering the high-profile guest list, though the night ended early due to a sudden thunderstorm.
While the couple has kept the details surrounding their wedding mostly under wraps, they hired event planners Lanza & Baucina Limited to help bring their vision for their big day to life. The company is known for producing Venice weddings for A-list couples, including George and Amal Clooney in 2014 and Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault in 2009.
On their wedding invitations, Bezos and Sánchez shared why Venice is such a special place for the pair, as they asked their guests to forgo gifts and instead make contributions to three local charities.
“We are excited for you to join us! We have one early request: please, no gifts,” the invitation read. “Instead we’re making contributions in your honor and with gratitude to you for making the journey to celebrate with us in Venice.”

The invitation continued: “Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city’s irreplaceable cultural heritage, to CORILA to restore the vital lagoon habitats that protect Venice’s future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.”

“This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories,” the pair concluded. “Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”
In another gesture of appreciation, Bezos and Sánchez sourced about 80% of their wedding provisions from local vendors, a source told The Associated Press. Rosa Salva, the city’s oldest pastry maker, is making treats for goody bags for the couple’s guests.
Venetian mayor Luigi Brugnaro told AP that his city is “very proud” to host the couple’s high-profile wedding.
“It’s an honor that they chose Venice. Venice once again reveals itself to be a global stage,” he said.
