2nd Annual “Paving the Way for Black Homeownership” Community Resource Forum

It’s a free event designed to empower and prepare people for homeownership. Debra Neal, Vice President of NAREB Oregon Realtist, and Qualen Carter, President Elect of NAREB Oregon Realtist, joined us to talk about how the event brings together Oregon’s major down payment assistance programs, estate attorneys, financial planners, housing nonprofits, and real estate professionals. Their goal is to empower both aspiring and current homeowners with the tools to build and retain wealth through real estate. This initiative is especially timely given the disparities in homeownership rates and the urgent need to close the racial wealth gap.
