Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria Rank as the Strongest Militaries in Africa | Firstpost Africa
African countries have been heavily investing in the defence sectors to ensure they possess advanced weaponry and technological capabilities to maintain peace and security. According to the 2025 Global Firepower Index, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, South Africa and Ethiopia are among the strongest military powers in Africa. This is followed by Angola, Morocco, DR Congo, Sudan and Libya. Out of the 38 countries that it ranks, Global Firepower has said that Benin, Central African Republic, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Gabon, among others, are Africa’s lowest-ranked militaries. The rankings have highlighted the wide gaps and disparities among African countries’ military spending. Watch the video to know more.

🤓🤓🤓 how can Egypt have military weapons and they do not make military weapons those weapons that Egypt has they are american-made weapons or european-made weapons… Along with a few other African countries.
How can you have a navy and you do not have a naval shipyard to make naval ships so a lot of these weapons are being purchased or leased to a lot of countries at a unfair price.
Or they're doing like most European countries do is paying the United States and France and a few other European countries for the military help.

Algeria is a definitely the strongest military in Africa. I believe the annual budget of their military is US $10 billion, and Russia has allowed them to buy whatever they want, short of nukes. Egypt and Morocco are behind. Nigeria is not a power at all.
