Georgia Association of Black County Officials hosts annual brunch

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Georgia Association of Black County Officials held their annual brunch Sunday at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum.

GABCO works to advocate on behalf of underserved communities in Georgia.

Part of the meeting was spent examining how to create and keep wealth in Black communities.

“Often times, as African American leaders, we tend to go fast to the other side without entertaining – are there any other black companies, minority owned and women owned companies, that can do the same kind of work,” said GABCO Vice President, Oz Nesbitt.

Other priorities for GABCO include investments in education, and making sure underserved communities have access to the latest technology.
