The husband of a Naperville mother who vanished on a walk late last month in the popular Chicago suburb asked for the community’s assistance in locating his wife on Friday.
“My wife is more than just my partner,” Gbenga Abosede told reporters at a news conference. “She is my best friend and college sweetheart.”
Gbenga Abosede’s wife, Olasinmibo “Sinmi” Abosede, was last seen at approximately 9:20 a.m. on July 30, when she left the family’s home along Sudbury Street near Lindsay Drive for a brief walk. The mother of four did not take her cell phones or any belongings with her other than a white water bottle.
Police conducted a coordinated search on Thursday following a large-scale search on Monday, which authorities said didn’t turn up any new leads. Foul play isn’t suspected in the mother of four’s disappearance, according to police.
Gbenda Abosede said his family is struggling to cope with their wife and mother’s absence.
“My wife is a strong woman, but I am also worried about her wellbeing and the distress she may be experiencing,” he stated. “We genuinely believe that with your eyes and ears, we can bring her home safely.”
