CBS News Miami’s Ted Scouten spoke to passengers aboard the Explorer of the Seas who experienced rough conditions while sailing in Spain. The the 12-day one way cruise ends in PortMiami.
I've done that voyage there and back twice already. We had very smooth sailing.
Then again we've had something similar off of the coast of Norway once. A lot of broken glass. However I am surprised which kind of things on that boat weren't permanently anchored to the floor. Usually everything remotely heavy should be anchored and should be unable to move around.
… Such recklessness is unacceptable, exposing passengers to immeasurable risks. The consequences could have been fatal and catastrophic. Given that cruise ships are equipped with radar and connected to satellite weather services, they should be aware of adverse weather conditions at sea. It is imperative that accountability be enforced. Cruise ships are NOT ocean liners … !!! … period … !!!
Good!! Cruise ships suck! All they do is cause pollution and satisfy big ol fat people with nothing else to do with their money 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I wouldnt want to do transatlantic on a cruise ship, stick to an Ocean Liner for that. Queen Mary 2 is like the last one. Stick to calmer waters like the Carribean.. you will still get storms but nothing super crazy like the Atlantic will throw at you.
Seriously? Terrifying? We were at dinner. The ship tilted around 15 degrees and most of our dinner slid onto the floor. We grabbed our wine glasses, and waited until things settled. Dinner was delayed around half an hour while the wonderful staff cleaned up. After dinner we went to the pub. The promenade and the shops were completely tidy, and we got a drink at the bar. You would never have known anything had happened. We were asked to go to our staterooms for several hours, after which we went to the pub for another drink and a wonderful performance by Laurence on the guitar.
It was altogether the best cruise I have ever been on, and it was my 20th.
We had a similar experience on board P&O ship Britannia in 2019. The ship was hit by a Gail force blast of wind and started to list over. The captain told everyone to remain seated while they got the ship back under control. All credit to the captain and crew they handed the situation very well. Scary moment but hasn’t put me off cruising.
All I can say is 'Enjoy' your holiday camp, fun filled, experience surrounded with a fantastic view of nothing but endless miles of water. and they are mostly. Don't forget to check out the flag of the vessels registration, because it's their laws that apply not your country of origin. So like Long John, you wont have a leg to stand on.
Where's the videos? Thumbs down
Death traps
The best place for all cruise ships is in Davy Jones locker😂😂😂😂😂
I hope the liquor was free after the crash 1:30 🤔
Boring. There’s nothing new about a cruise ship listing in “weather”.
Why the hell these boats not have furniture etc boltted down.

Fools know its Hurricane season….
very bad way for holidays ,like pirates
watching their mouths move and hearing the words supposedly coming out was certainly not in sync. Weird. Like a bad AI clip or something.
Just another day in liberal haven
My lovely experience on Explorer of the seas for 5 contracts on board
Wow… But the great emergency responses made all passengers okay…

I hate the screamers,get a grip.
There is no "getting back" to Miami, the description says it was a one way cruise. Bad reporting.

I’ve cancelled all my cruises with Royal Caribbean and gotten my funds back, people dying and getting hurt.
