  1. Want to really piss off the Democrats mr. President and you bring yourself to Chester Pennsylvania a predominantly black neighborhood that's been ravaged by poverty drugs and violence is the 1970s and guess what it's completely controlled by democrats there's not one single Republican sitting on the board and that little area you come there and you irritate the hell out of the Democrats start changing things around make Chester great again make America great again years ago that city was ruled by the sundry. Company where they build a lot of oil tankers for a Refinery that only resides a few miles away and Marcus Hook Pennsylvania it's one of the worst areas in Southeastern Pennsylvania I know of it's been a horrible tax regulations no jobs and drugs you start bringing things right around there again you will probably get a lot of people in Philadelphia and everywhere else right on your back changing Chester around would be the equivalent to a Democrat coming into Trump Tower and pointing at imperfections and then rubbing them in your face if there are any imperfections at all

  2. Black people haven’t voted blue every election since universal suffrage (or even racial suffrage). In fact, the first election in which Democrats even had the black electorate was in the 1964 election, after LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act in July. (I’d also like to quickly point out that I’m only going to be talking about the modern Democratic Party, especially the post-1964 party, as the past Democratic Party was extremely racist. They are the same party in name, but not in practice.)

Now let’s take a look of what democrats have done for minorities.

Economic gains are massive across the board for blacks (and whites as well), under modern Dem presidents. From 1964 to 2011, the average black family’s income rose by $895 annually, the unemployment rate of African American’s fell a net 7.9% over 26 years, and poverty went down by 23.6%. Under GOP presidents in that same time period, income increases by $142 annually, unemployment went up 13.7% over 28 years, and poverty grew by 3%. Democrats have historically signed legislation advancing civil rights and economic and political equality. You have the Civil Rights Act signed by LBJ, but you also have more subtle piece of legislation, like Clinton expanding income tax credit, which gives low-income workers a partial tax refund. As of 1999, 33.7% of low-wage workers were black, and 16.8% were low-wage and low-income, trailing behind Hispanics, recent immigrants, and non-citizens. Alongside that, a Democrat nominated the first African-American SCOTUS justice, and eight of the nine justices in Brown v. Board (which was unanimous) were appointed by Democrats. Truman (yes, he’s not in the time frame, but it’s worth mentioning) also issued Executive Order 9981, desegregating the military. The four Democratic-appointed justices voted against effectively repealing the Voting Rights Act, and all Republican-appointed justices voted for it.

Republicans do not look out for minority interests. The Republican platform has featured anti-LGBTQ legislation, anti-immigration legislation aimed especially at Latinos, tough on crime laws aimed at minorities and the poor (including whites), strict war on drugs policies and mandatory sentencing for drug problems in minority neighborhoods, but now that there is a rampant heroine problem in white areas, Republicans are talking about treatment solutions. Republicans (outside of Trump) show universal support for trade deals like NAFTA and the TPP that have killed the manufacturing jobs that employed millions of minority workers as well as millions of whites. And Republicans have waged war against unions, disempowering them at every turn (as it’s illegal to outlaw them). Republicans also want to privatize/eliminate the welfare state including Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, as well as the VA because, philosophically they do not believe the government should be involved in these types of issues. It’s at the heart of all the right wing giver/taker rhetoric.

Most importantly, Republicans have engaged in minority voter suppression so blatant, you’d have to be either ignorant or dishonest to disagree. In 2013, the Supreme Court rolled back the Voting Rights Act provision requiring states with a history of voter suppression get pre-approval from the justice department for all voting changes. Ever since, Republican-controlled states have enacted voter ID laws so draconian they have repeatedly been ruled as deliberate attempts to disenfranchise minority voting.

While Democrats have an ugly history of racism from 200 years ago, they have continually helped the black community and other minority communities advance socially, economically, and politically in the modern political system.

  3. Great respect for Mr. Riley—- but we just do not need the black votes. why would we waste so much of our efforts to gain the black votes that has already been bought and paid for by Democrats? blacks just need to wake up to what the Democrats are doing to them. it is all on them. not us.

  4. He is speaking the truth. All republicans needs to start getting in these black communities and helping them get on their feet. Listen to them. Black people helped build this country and they are very patriotic…. these politicians need to stop pandering to the black community and get in there and help them. Trump, believe does care about black people… he needs to show them that. That’s all they want and that’s not asking for too much.

  5. I mean then someone please explain to me what has the Republican party done for the African American communityand please don't hit me with the rhetorical lowest unemployment rate bulshit that all Trump supporters say. I live in an urban community in a minority community I don't see it

  6. Absolutely!!
I grew up in the hood I was the only one who refused to get welfare or get any type of government support and I now have a successful career and a high standing contributor to our economy VS the rest of the people in my community who are currently still on welfare, don’t work, and continue to live an oppressed “ help help help” me lives 20 years later.

    People need to wake up!!!

Oppression mindset will keep you a victim.

  7. White people can't go into black communities and talk to them. They will simply be looked at as white people not educators. White people are looked at as the enemy to black communities and that is so untrue.
