A glittering ceremony has been held at Leeds Town Hall to recognise the achievements and contributions made to the city by the black community – 70 years after the first Caribbean immigrants arrived in the UK on the Windrush.
It’s only the second time the Legacy awards – which celebrate the multicultural and diverse nature of the city – have been held in Leeds.
