I have a Pete 2020 sticker on my guitar case. And I have been voting since 1972. I know — the rub is now "the 55 to 75 year olds like Buttigieg, but the young people like Bernie." Well, I don't know whether "the young people" like Buttigieg or not. I do, however, have many gray-haired friends who are Bernie-or-bust fanatics. All I know is that Buttigieg presents as a man with character, courage, integrity, intellect, knowledge, gravitas, and a sense of history.

I LOVE Pete – he knows how to answer questions and he never whines about being a victim. He never vilifies people working through past prejudices. He is the wisest person in this field of candidates. At this moment in his consciousness he is the right person to be president. I daresay America needs him. My observation – Pete is the gift America is trying to give itself. I hope we are smart and KIND enough to accept. Trump exposed a terrible mean streak in America. Pete is the antidote and the way forward.
Here's all he needs to say: "Let me worry about my relationship with my Maker and you can worry about your relationship with yours." Or "I appreciate your concern with my supposed sins. If it's true that everyone is a sinner, I suggest you start addressing yours before worrying about me. "

I don't understand why the media took ONE questionable incident with the police chief and made it as a description of his relationship with the black community . Thereafter , they keep emphasizing his low rating in the polls with them. Pete was NOT STARTING FROM ZERO . He was starting off at a disadvantage . Nevertheless , he didn't blame anyone . He apologized anyway . What have other democrats actually done for blacks? Truthfully , obama could have done more for them. No doubt pete is the absolutely is the most intelligent of the candidates . And after so many years of neglect , problems in the black community are both abundant and complex. If anyone can figure this out . Pete can. Additionally , I haven't heard anything in his past that would make me believe he dislikes blacks. And as someone who was raised in that part of the Midwest , I know how difficult it is to avoid that type of thinking . I just consider him to be a decent guy who like any other geek of high intelligence , likes to solve complicated problems to help people . I don't know of very many racist geeks. Their minds don't have time for that nonsense. Just as with the most competitive athletes and coaches I've known. They just want to win, and care less what color people are. His Douglas plan is a good start. Haven't seen biden, Warren , or Klobuchar publish anything comparable . I trust what both bernie and yang would do. Mainly because bernies love of helping people oozes out in him, and yang has that geek factor going for him too. Keep an open mind folks. It's only fair .
