On December 28, 2020, WTTW News presented CHICAGO TONIGHT BLACK VOICES: A WTTW News Community Conversation. Brandis Friedman, co-anchor of Chicago Tonight and host of Chicago Tonight: Black Voices, will moderate a live, virtual conversation featuring Rev. Dr. Waltrina Middleton (Community Renewal Society), Christa Hamilton (Centers for New Horizons), Dr. Gilo Kwesi Logan (Logan Consulting Services) and Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Jr. (pastor emeritus of Trinity United Church of Christ) on the significance of Watch Night and New Year’s Day Celebrations for the Black community.
