Since March 2020, the FBI has conducted over 46 million firearm background checks. The National Shooting Sports Foundation found that firearm purchases by Black Americans increased by any other race, up by 56%, but Black gun store ownership remains rare.

I am a gun owner and currently open carry until I get my concealed carry permit. I recommend that everyone owns a gun and get training on using that gun.
Its almost like it takes a lot of work to open up a gunshop.
Isn’t it sad that everyone who is Black had a terrible experience trying to purchase a firearm from white FFL dealers? What does that tell you? Yet folks still will say there’s no racism. They don’t want us to defend ourselves and many of us fell in to that way of thinking until 2020

If NBC really cared about this they would be calling for loosing of the regulations to open a new gun store. But in fact they are too busy writing stores to demonize and close down the gun stores that are already in operation.

Most gun shops treat everybody like crap unless you know the owner or one of the employees.

There's a reason why so many black youths have criminal records, it prevents them from legally owning firearms and protecting themselves from danger (including corrupt cops) in the future . Corrupt cops are more scared of a black person who legally own guns than criminals with guns who they just shoot indiscriminately and be protected by law and not having to payout on a lawsuit. Look at how scared law enforcement agencies of the proud boys who legally carry, the same went for the black panthers in the past. Exercise your right to bear arms!!!

I'm a black man who has lost count of the # of pistols I have purchased since April 2022. I grew up around guns, and was an armorer in the Army. I made my first purchase in April 2022, got my conceal carry license, and have not had any issues purchasing firearms online or in person. I carry all the time except at work, and I go to the range once or twice a week.
