Many predict will get even worse during the summer.
People in the state’s agricultural heartland, who have been struggling with water shortages and contamination for years, say it’s time for people in metropolitan areas to conserve water and do their part.

Strict water restrictions and severe water drought in California ??? And news of farmers selling off their cattle due to drought conditions ??? Then why do I see, everywhere I travel in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Sacramento, hundreds of new subdivisions of homes being built ???
at times, there must be unimagined amounts of flesh water flushing down the Mississippi, while farmers use what remains of their precious artesian sources in California's central valley – ensuring sooner rather than later such regions will almost certainly revert to desert.

1. When this has been an ongoing problem for decades and nothing done, should be a cause to remove tge political leaders.
2. When they rather dump billions into a train instead of dams, more flood control catch basins etc, the leaders need to voted out.
3. When they send billions over seas and ignore our water problems, they should be arrested and tried for abuse of power.

CA need to work on our water infrastructure. We need to recycle our water, we need to not have grass and we need to go nuclear power plants for energy to desalinate our water. Our population has been growing drastically since 1960s but we have not expanded our water infrastructure since then. It's amazing how much the population have grown since then, yet no one have thought of increasing our water supply. This is mismanagement and incompetence and its finally catching up to us. It had nothing to do with climate change. We live in the desert and are able to grow water intensive crops and have many large cities, yet blame it on climate change when our population have outgrown our water supply. This is ridicules.

California is falling apart, too many powerless laws, moral decay, and clueless leaders.
Here is a solution to save our state.
– Vote for good leaders starting with their family values.
– Stop with the money-making bail system and keep criminals behind bars under mandatory labor.
– Offer homeless jobs, and drug addicts treatment or they will be in jail.
– Build underground water reservoirs and desalinization and stop consuming water from lake Mead and other lakes from non-coastal neighboring states.
These should solve 90% of the state's problems.
How about an update BBC in about 15 days? So NASA-JT, with all of your vast knowledge, why didn't you know about all of these atmospheric rivers CA has received recently with at least 3 more on its way. So NASA just takes a snapshot here 7 months ago and more doom and gloom. So we really don't need your opinion. The weatherman can gives us current situations.
