Walmart employs more people than any other company in the world and is the country’s largest grocer. But when it comes to e-commerce, Amazon is the clear leader, with 39.5% of the market share compared to Walmart’s 7%. Now Walmart has ambitious new plans, and new leadership, to try and catch up. CNBC got an exclusive interview with Walmart’s new e-commerce chief Tom Ward to hear how it plans to leverage its 4,700+ U.S. stores to entice sellers to Walmart and speed up local delivery. Because 90% of Americans live within 10 miles of a Walmart, using stores as micro-fulfillment centers is helping Walmart expand programs like drone delivery and InHome delivery straight into customer refrigerators.

How Walmart Is Betting Big On Stores To Catch Amazon In E-commerce

Walmart is a Union Strong Company!
Walmart already lost. No usable website, no posted prices, no delivery. They lost decades ago. It's over, they can give it up now and cater to the in store customers and slowly dwindle away.
I actually buy more from walmart then amazon, because better prices. only things that aren't available on walmart I buy on amazon..
I’m not at all interested in buying products on line. I enjoy going out shopping. Only when I can’t find something I want in stores will I then look online to make my purchase.
I haven't spent a penny at Walmart in 7 months and I don't intend to ever again.
That head of e-commerce guy really seems to know his stuff, care about the success of the company, and seems to take his role seriously. I could seriously see him as a CEO on day- he’s been in the trenches seeing how to make the store succeed.
We got half our Walmart order last month but no out of stocks. When we called, many calls, they offered us a gift card. You don't beat anyone with this plan.
Walmart you're nuts.
I like to use both, along with other ecom, and in person. Some things are better for one or the other. Best part of Walmart+ is you don't have to deal with your stereotypical Walmart trashy ass people
i rarely go to Wal-mart but if i buy online it is Wal mart…not Amazon…
Mi profe me dejo un reporte sobre este video, Like para que mi profe lo vea =D
All this explains why prices are so high with Walmart Entourage Third Party Sellers. Walmart strategically competes against Walmart in order to get higher product price/stocks through 3rd party seller entourage kickbacks. I'm just a layman, for me it's difficult to express but no wool is over my eyes.

this is hilarious everyone is trying to get in on everyone elses racket. amazon is trying to get more in to brick and mortar while walmart is trying to get more into ecommerce… like this sh-t is just willy wonka land type of upside down.
I had walmart plus and amazon prime but i just have amazon now i cant afford both even if walmart is handy cause bring stuff from walmart close my home.
Problem with Walmart online sellers is it takes forever for my package to show up at my door.
walmart website still stinks. their third party selection, pricing, and shipping stinks. I mostly look at walmart for common things to see if its cheaper than amazon. but I price in time to goto stores. I went to do a pick up for an order the other day and it took forever.
Is the spawn fitness just drop shipping?
"may sound wild" ☝🏽🤓
Walmart is the better than Amazon because Amazon can’t handle Walmart though we got less stores we got better prices and better bargain than Amazon. It doesn’t matter if Amazon is better than Walmart but Walmart prices are better than Amazon.
Walmart also became the biggest maintenance company in the world when they started to do their own maintenance.
Oh for the love of God maybe in another five to 10 years they'll have dedicated fulfillment center so we don't have to deal with all of them getting in our way in the tiny cramp iles
❤❤
Sir, I need a seller account in USA walmart company to sell my product online I have very good experience in this work and I can do this job well sir if you are client of walmart company or contact with client If you can please help me thanks
I can't believe I'm actually routing for Walmart at this point. Strange times
Amazon is filled with Chinese clones
tks
That’s a powerful message to the biggest companies in United States, as soon you live there is multiple great options to replace them. What Walmart did, is a message to himself. No matter how big you are, you will be replaced in a minute.
I hate shopping at Walmart, so I buy only a few very specific grocery things that are way cheaper there. I stock up so I don’t have to go there often. The stores are depressing and dirty. Uninspiring. Customer service is nonexistent or rude and stupid. Their online shopping experience is even worse. Functionality is for sh*t. Full of sketchy third party sellers that you don’t even realize aren’t coming from Walmart. Amazon has its issues too with this. Sometimes the experience is so awful at Walmart I ask myself if it is worth the aggravation to save twenty bucks.
Perhaps they need to pay better so that many of their employees don't need to be on government assistance. It's the same thing McDonald's is apparently doing
As long as America remains car-dependent, I'll remain at home, on Amazon. I'd only use Walmart for in-store shopping. Instead of sealed boxes, they deliver stuff in bags you can slip a hand into, and then instead of shipping via UPS it's some broke-ass local yokel driving your stuff over, who can easily steal stuff from your bag. Has happened more than once. Items missing and then the proof of delivery photo was a blurry pic of the sidewalk. WM site sucks too and my account has become inaccessible. Amazon delivery has never failed me. Not once. Rock solid dependability, and accountability.
Idiots. While Amazon, Target, and Walmart are jostling each other, unethical Temu has got all three beat.
The wars used to be WCW vs WWF, FedEx vs UPS, now its Walmart vs Amazon
Not easy that Walmart bit Amazon
Even that Walmart is the # 1 client of China 🇨🇳
Walmart doesn’t care how they package item that they delivery 🚚 they spend it on plastic bags that the entire ordered fall apart lol when we received. The huge challenge of Walmart to bit Amazon is the efficient Amazon is when is comes. Fast and care also great customer service etcccc
16:10 either curious or heights of laziness
For the billions and billions of dollars Walmart has you would think they would have a better web site.
Walmart needs to update its website, make it more organized, faster, bigger fonts too. That's fundamentally what's wrong with Walmart. I also noticed that some items are more expensive than Amazon.
