Father's in homes is BS, you need at a basic level a plurality of adults who you can trust, confide in and grow from, 2 mums, 2 dad's, 2 enbys, 2 of any combination of parents you can think of is the basic level. A single parent is where things get tough, be it single mum, single dad, single enby or anyone who is caring for a child on their own, it is single parents without support themselves where the troubles start.
You can also say that having 2 parents is bad, there are enough abusive parents around that shouldn't have kids, a good parent is good, a bad parent is bad, some single parents are all a kid needs, others it is turmoil and strife. So let's put down the "Mum and Dad" view of families and start looking at if the home is safe and loving for the child!!!
