Looks like they want independence from France ……and they probably want those nice french benefits too…time to make a choice.
i agree with protest cost of living too high. even in Trinidad and Tobago. Taxing is high. When covid 19 came , prices when up due to the shut down lock down, and now covid 19 went away and the prices remain there up , it did not went down.
Haiti 2.0 wow 😢
The rich is getting richer globally
The poor people are suffering everywhere.
The number of billionaires globally, has increased.
They have refused independence from France. Voted no
World wide problem. Cost of living is how hard we have to work for a given product. We could use petrol as an example of measuring the cost of life from country to country. Ok I'm good at writing words. However I don't do this for a living. This is easy for me. So if I did this for a living the cost of life is lower. Correct? Now where the cost of living is high is where you have persons not doing jobs that are easy for them. Reduce cost of living world wide. Everyone must know what they are good at/ what job is easy for them. This would reduce the cost of life significantly
My heart goes out to Martinique and the wider world, let's all do our part to reduce the cost of life.
So the plan was to make it worse for poor people by burning down the buildings? " Brilliantly done "
Not a single Black person in the police force 😂
They import all their foods from France, what do they expect?
It is happening Globally. 🌴🌴 Greed is the root cause. If the people are stressed the land will burn.
If it's about food costs which affect everyone why do we only see black people on the street in Martinique?… can someone from Martinique please explain…
These high prices are globally even in the U.S.A, i live in the U.S.A and originally from neighboring Island 🏝 of ST Lucia 🇱🇨 this problem of high prices and taxes is affecting everyone.,violence however and vandalism creates chaos and more problems.
Good. Too bad France is racist and won’t help. But good for them, keep protesting.
Wow😢 everywhere 🌍🌎🌏 trouble politics evil 🙈🙈🙈
what corporations are there…………………. imported goods on a controlled island…………..
If you lives on an island with land, family land you better be planting food
Our ancestors never complained about the price of food because they planted thier own food locally
This is the beginning, because prices getting out of hand.
Unequal treatment of a colony! SHOCKER! They need independence!
How is destroying businesses that provide jobs and boycotting stores that provide your basic needs helping the people. Stop destroying your infrastructure and take your fight to your local politicians. They are the ones who can actually do something about the matter.
Make that island ungovernable until France leaves 😡
The agenda t9 cause chaos to set-up nwo
40 percent more than France

France enjoys economies of scale
What would looting achieve
France is missing every country up haiti, niger, and now Martinique
It’s happening all over .. it’s harder on small islands more so. If France doesn’t help them then they should just leave become a republic try a different way.
Then come live in neighboring island of st.Lucia🇱🇨😅 I would love to live in Martinique

Time to head home family. Africa awaits. French has no love for us but to oppress.
Overseas "Dom tom" are possessions of france and west africa too in the franc cfa currency area.. everywhere you see french military is a french possession…. without all theses colonies france will be at the 20 place in the world economic classement… since the creation of U.E if poors countries in europe like portugal or polish are out of poverty its because rich france help them financially.. french money from all theses colonies….
France the eternal imperialist.
MARTINIQUE MUST COME OUT FROM UNDER THE FRENCH. GET INDEPENDENCE AND JOIN CARICOM
Get them free now we can save Europe
No more colonization
Its all about greed.
Important message to all the demonstrators… "It is easy to break and destroy. Hard to build and develop" Burning cars and shops, you just make things, More EXPENCIVE! What community development plans do the demonstrators/rioters have? -Start local community farmers markets. If every rural family has 3/4 chickens, and you never have to buy eggs for life.
High cost of living in Barbados for decades….no riots. I guess the residents are protesting against the comparative cost with the 'colonising' country
I visited this island in 2004 when I was in high school. I was there participating in a modeling competition. The island was very beautiful, but it was very poor. It is a majority all black French Island. Back in 2004, this French Caribbean island was using the euro as their currency. I remember my mother and aunt having to switch our American money to the Euro because our American money meant nothing there. I am not surprised that even now, 20 years later, the people of the island are suffering far more than before. This is sad!
Martinique and Guadeloupe need to grow a spine.. You choose to remain as a colony after all these years and cry when your master treats like you sh!t…SMH
McDonalds can afford to pay those young people until that "restaurant" has been rebuilt.
