For these foreign entities, Burkina Faso represents a critical geological area in West Africa, which is rich in natural resources like gold. And, the fact that it is currently positioned in the center of a region struggling with insecurity and chaos makes it even more attractive. This is because foreign entities can easily make huge profits both financially and otherwise in areas where there is chaos and insecurity.
