Senegal president says France should close army bases in country • FRANCE 24 English

Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye told AFP Thursday that France should close its military bases in the West African state as it prepared to mark the 80th anniversary of a notorious colonial slaughter. Faye said that France’s President Emmanuel Macron had admitted that his country’s troops were responsible for a “massacre” of Senegalese soldiers in 1944.

  1. They have their land, they can put their military bases, not in Africa, they use those so called bases for theft purposes not security, very glad to have such wake up leaders, or they can ask PUTIN for a piece of land for their bases😭😭

  2. Young Africa President rise up now and for generations,France have one head we Africa have one head created by the same God,they have to remove their soldiers go back to their country we don't need them, they use this soldiers to steal our resources White men e.g France UK USA and others leave Africa alone.

  3. Not a mutiny if you request what is fair and due. Also, it wasn’t dozens of individuals but hundreds. You need to fact check and be more careful with word choices and the problematic and/or false narrative they conjure.

  4. I had to leave Senegal because there was no work now. I’m in the Canary Islands a lot of people from Senegal. I want to go to the Canary Islands for a better life now I’m going to Spain.
