Altadena community mourns loss of historic Black neighborhoods



Altadena residents spoke out and mourned the loss of the city’s historic Black neighborhoods. Many are now concerned what those communities will look like going forward. Velena Jones reports.

  1. Lincoln/Washington BLVD is the Black Hood of Altadena

    We didn't know it was Gangsta's Paradise area way back then when we saw Houses for Sale online for way below market prices in surrounding areas. When we got there, a lot of Gangsters can't remember "if" they were Bloods or Crips in that area but they were sitting on the Curbs/Cars/Porches, or just wandering around…..

    Hopefully once they rebuild that community, law abiding citizens move in…..

    Is a long street all the way to Windsor I grew up on Mountain view street in Altdena and it's
    Sad to see all of these Places
