“We are trapped, Goma is suffocating” – BBC Africa



Description: As the M23 fighters continue to gain territory in Eastern DRC, the town of Goma is holding by a thread. The regional capital city is home to around two million people and there is growing fears that the city might fall back to M23 control. More than 230,000 people have already fled violence in eastern DRC since the start of the year according to the United Nations who is calling it one of the world’s “most alarming” humanitarian crises.
