The war in Congo has nothing to do with the people. Since the 1960s, the West and Europe have kept stealing the natural resources in Congo and in exchange giving weapons of war to different sects to create permanent unrest. When there is no peace. Their stealing goes unchecked. UN peacekeepers there are only there to help guide the loot not bring peace.

I want you to go look at the map of the DRC and see how far the capital is to where Goma is. Goma is right on the boarder with Rwanda. Rwanda has always had security concerns with that region which is neglected by the DRC. Hope this helps. 🙂

Clarification:
During war of 1994 in Rwanda both HUTUS and TUTSI fled to DRC
– Tutsi ( some called today the M23, …) During genocide, tutsi came to DRC in 2-6 months of war (1994).
– Hutus ( some of them are called FDL) started to come after being defeated in Rwandan Tutsi the same year (1994).
What unite them all is the language and culture; both speak kinyarwanda as their mother tunge. DRC took in close to 3 million refugees from Rwanda in 1994, were both TUTSI and Hutus Alike.
What separete them from congolese is language and culture. Congolese natevely do not speak kinyarwanda.
The HUTUS do not clem any thing from DRC goverment and Rwanda sees them as threat to its rule. This also used as prentense to send Rwandase goverment forces to destabilise Eastern DRC and loot minerals.
DRC sees Tutsi as invarders who want part of the country that they don't belong to, tutsi's presense in DR congo is very beneficial to Rwanda. Congo is ready to return both Tutsi and Hutus to Rwanda BUT Paul kagame (a tutsi) want only HUTUS not Tutsi.
Ask yourself this question why does Kagame (Tutsi) want the so called FDL (HUTUS) back to Rwanda not the m23(TUTSI)?
The root cause of the problem is how Europeans curved Africa and dont forget USA assassination of Lumumba
