A Malawian court has ruled that self-proclaimed prophet Shepperd Bushiri can be extradited to South Africa. Bushiri fled South Africa for his native Malawi in November 2020. This was days after he and his wife Mary were released on 200-thousand rand bail each. I've no doubt that, knowing our criminal-friendly (in)justice system, if he ever does set foot in S.A. after extradition procedures, he'll be given bail again and then be in the wind the following day. Since he's got lots of boodle (all fraudulently acquired), he'll appeal and that will take at least another two years. The NPA mustn't rejoice yet.
