The US has expelled South Africa’s ambassador, Ebrahim Rasool, declaring him persona non grata after his remarks against President Donald Trump. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called Rasool a ‘race-baiting politician’ as tensions between Washington and Pretoria escalated.
