Protest Erupts in Guyana Following Death of Missing Child

The tragic death of an eleven-year-old in Guyana has ignited violent protests, resulting in a hotel and a home being burned to the ground. Adrianna Younge, a resident of Tuschen, disappeared on Wednesday while at Double Day Hotel with relatives. The community launched a search party but faced resistance from the hotel owner and law enforcement when trying to thoroughly search the premises. Relatives were allowed to enter late Wednesday night, but their search was unsuccessful. Early Thursday morning, residents gathered in front of the hotel, burning tires and demanding answers from the owner. Shortly after, Adrianna’s lifeless body was discovered in the hotel pool. This discovery sparked a series of events, including the destruction of the hotel and the owner’s home by protesters. News Five’s Paul Lopez reports.

It's not the hotel's responsibility to keep the child safe, it's the family's responsibility to keep her safe and not let her wander the hotel premises on her own without adult supervision. The family and killer and rightfully to be blamed for the child's death. The hotel owner is running a business, earning a livelihood for themselves. The hotel owners aren't to be blamed for the family's irresponsible, careless, stupid, naive behaviour. A responsible, loving, caring parent would of went with the child in the hotel to make sure she was safe and nothing could happen to her instead of leaving her on her own. The family should set up and take responsibility for their wrongful actions towards the child. THE FAMILY SHOULD NEVER LEFT THE CHILD ON HER OWN WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION!!!! Anyone could have killed the girl.

😢 police officers said the child left in a car, so she returned with cotton wool in her nose and went to sleep inside the pool
this is not the frist time something like that happened it was the same with the man that met his death in the same pool in the same way.

Wonder why the grandma send her by herself to by something wonder why the grand mother didn’t go with the child I believe she should be held accountable I would like to know if she’s showing any remorse knowing she send the child out and she didn’t return

That pool is not that deep and look small, you mean to tell me all day long they check the pool and she not there but later she turn up and then the police saying that she was kidnapped! This reminds me of Akiel Chambers in Trinidad and Tobago. They found him floating in a pool and just like the little girl people search the pool and he wasn't in it and mysteriously appeared in the pool next morning.

Any human in their right mind would assist in finding her at all and any cost.

How can she disappear while swimming with her family? It is a swimming pool not the beach. How come she left on her own? This is so fishy. A sad case. Another child lost her life mysteriously.

With so many people around no one saw who put the body in the pool. Policemen in Guyana is known for corruption past 70 years to protect political friends.

Nurse also confirmed her back passage was severly bruised. This must be investigated. Cause of bruises must be identified. No cover up!!!

If you not gonna allow that family to search for their missing child!! Then make sure you find that child but yall never did find her, instead countless lies about child being kidnapped and went elsewhere, child come up in the pool. So they never thoroughly check!! Its no excuses

Now that’s how a community puts pressure on the local authorities to seek justice.. The people went to shutdown that Hotel and the Owner’s Home got shutdown as well 😮.. That community obviously got love for their Youth Dem especially the Babies
