  1. the best thing eritrea can do in this situation is give Assab back to Ethiopia, if it wants to exist as a country. Ethiopia can not be landloacked by some agreement that was not made by an Ethiopia i.e meles zenawi

  2. Just fact checking @HimbolMedia1ሂምቦልሜድያ 's claims😅, turns out they're absolute BS, some are true but unrelated to the main claim and the videos topic whatsoever.

Below are short and brief answers to each claim in the statement, with concise evidence or reasoning.

Claim: Ethiopia never owned any port throughout its entire history.
    Answer: False.
Proof: The Aksumite Empire (1st–7th centuries CE), a predecessor to Ethiopia, controlled Red Sea ports like Adulis, as documented in historical texts like the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea.

Claim: Claiming Ethiopia lost sea access in 1993 when Eritrea seceded is misleading and historically incorrect.
    Answer: Partially true.
Proof: Ethiopia lost control of Eritrean ports (e.g., Massawa, Assab) in 1993 after Eritrea’s independence, a factual loss. However, Ethiopia’s control over these ports began only in 1952 via UN federation, not through long-standing historical ownership.

Claim: Ethiopia (formerly Abyssinia) only gained access to Eritrea in 1952 through a UN federation, not historical ownership.
    Answer: True.
Proof: UN Resolution 390A (V) in 1950 established the Ethiopia-Eritrea federation in 1952, granting Ethiopia access to Eritrean ports, as recorded in UN archives.

Claim: Haile Selassie claimed Ethiopia lost sea access due to Ottomans, Egyptians, and Italians in the 14th–19th centuries.
    Answer: True.
Proof: Haile Selassie’s speeches, such as those during UN negotiations in the 1940s, referenced Aksumite heritage and foreign control (Ottomans 16th century, Egyptians 19th century, Italians 1880s–1941) to justify Ethiopia’s claim to Eritrea.

Claim: Modern African boundaries, including Ethiopia’s, were finalized during colonialism (1884–1914), and Ethiopia didn’t exist before this.
    Answer: Partially false.
Proof: Ethiopia’s boundaries were shaped by Menelik II’s expansion and colonial treaties by the early 20th century, finalized by the 1950s (e.g., Ogaden). Ethiopia, as the Abyssinian Empire, existed before 1884, with historical records like the Kebra Nagast and European accounts confirming its identity.

Claim: Ethiopia never had a port and will remain landlocked.
    Answer: Partially true, speculative.
Proof: Apart from Aksumite ports and 1952–1993 control of Eritrean ports, Ethiopia lacked ports. The claim it will remain landlocked is speculative, though current agreements (e.g., 2024 Somaliland deal for Berbera port access) suggest potential change.

  3. If Italy Colonized A Part Of Ethiopia & Then Naming It A Greek Word (I.e. Eritrea) Italio – Eritrea To Be Exact How Is/ Why Is Ethiopia (& Liberia) So Special To Not Be Colonized Against A Formidable Force (I.e. Modern Weapons) To Theirs ? What Was The Killing Of Lij Yasu & The Supplanting Of Tafari Makonnen ( I.e. Haile Selassie) About & The Adoption Of Western Christianity There's Lots Of Ways To Colonize & Subdue A Country Without The Population Even Knowing

  4. Abiy is a leader who can not live without war. Out of his 7 years of leadership, only the first 1 year is only peace. He puts the country into a total mess. Upto now, he is engaged with 3 big internal wars, conflict with Sudan, Somalia & now again with Eritrea.

  5. Am a marxist ethiopian in england sinc october 2 1987
In 1986 i was with dr arpad bogash and konjit sinegiorgs at WIPO HQ Geneva when goshu wolde defected as he didnt want mengistu throug dr ashgre yigletu
There is no languge caled eritrian it is Tigrigna
It is edward ulundorf who started writing in the geez😊 script Tigrigna as British intelegence officer in asmara when italian built cable car was dismanteld andlooted connecting Masawa to Asmara

  6. The Tigray map is wrong!!!
The West is responsible for the poletical crisis in Ethiopia and Eritera and between the two countries.
Your analysis is biased and all based on your own poletical and hegemonic desires.
    F.u!

  7. Why is a Kenyan woman asked? 😅😅😅
Why can't you ask Ethiopian or Eriteran intellectuals or both?
She has no idea about the real matters.
In fact, Kenya's nightmare is an Ethiopia with full potential. 😊

  8. Ethiopians have many alternative through kenya, sudan ,Djebouti somalia .dont need to invade Sovereignity countries Eritria.Abby need topic how to peacefully administrate multi Ethnical country Ethiopia.Champions of Eritria mostly Eritrians not only issayas.

  9. This video contains a highly biased and historically inaccurate narrative. It's disappointing to see a deliberate attempt to distort the fact that Eritrea has long had sovereign control over its ports. Martin Plaut is known for his anti-Eritrean stance, and it's concerning that no academic voices from Eritrea were included to provide balance. Tigrayans and Eritreans will unite and overthrow this lunatic leader soon. Long Live ERITREA

  10. I have a question. Ethiopia is going around and saying my "economy is growing so fast, so i need a port." If Ethiopia's economy is growing rapidly, as she is claiming, that means Ethiopia is earing a lot of revenue (money). If so, then why doesn't Ethiopia pay for port service peacefully to Djibouti or Eritrea and use the ports? Why does it want to invade Eritrea and take a port by force and bring a lot of death and destruction along the way? Why?

  11. The Eritrean government works hard for his country and his people. Just because he will not bow to the west and it doesn’t look like the democracy of the west, it doesn’t make utilitarian!!!

  12. What Somaliland fails to recognize is that the Ethiopian government is using them to divide and conquer Somalis. They don’t care about your independence, they want control of the whole region.

  13. A Sikh Student will be granted Nobel Prize of Peace for uniting India and Pakistan as one United Punjab National (Indus Valley Himalayan Civilization) . Alhamdulillah.

  14. Abbey Ahmed was an Actor🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪. He didn’t know Eritrean leaders nor the Eritrean people. We Eritreans saved his life 2023 and He denied Us already just like the past nonsense Ethiopian Leaders.
Who will save his life now? No body. in few months will Runaway Amarat just like Mengistu Hailenariam

  15. Our Friendship With The Divided Ethiopians, With Tigray and Amhara, With Afar Will be Strengthened. We Will also Work and Support Them to Become a Strong Country and Separate From Their Oppressive Ethiopia.
